Terms of Service
Last updated: July 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Beagle ("The Beagle", "we", "us"), including our website at https://thebeagle.ai and the services available through it (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
1. What the Service Is
The Beagle is a software-as-a-service platform that helps teams and businesses prepare for and run sales conversations with their customers. Organizations can build knowledge bases, configure AI assistants that answer questions from that knowledge, and invite people outside their organization (such as prospective customers) into private, shared rooms where they can interact with those assistants and exchange information.
2. Accounts and Organizations
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- An organization on the Service is administered by its members according to roles and permissions set within the Service. Organization administrators control who can join their organization, what content it holds, and who is invited into its rooms.
- If you are invited into a room by an organization, your access is limited to that room and may be revoked by the organization at any time.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
3. Your Content
- "Content" means anything you or your organization submit to the Service, including knowledge base entries, uploaded files, messages sent in rooms and chats, and information shared during conversations.
- You retain ownership of your Content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, display, and transmit your Content solely as needed to provide and improve the Service, including processing it through the AI features you use.
- You are responsible for your Content: that you have the rights to share it, that it does not violate the law or the rights of others, and that it does not include information you are not permitted to disclose.
- Content shared into a room is visible to the participants of that room. If you are invited into an organization's room, information you share there is visible to that organization. Do not share information in a room that you do not want the other side of the conversation to see.
4. AI Features
- The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, summaries, images, and other outputs, including through third-party AI model providers.
- AI outputs are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. They are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional, legal, financial, or other advice. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them or sharing them.
- You may not represent AI outputs as human-authored where that would be deceptive, and you may not use the AI features to generate content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of any person or entity;
- upload malicious code or attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or the accounts, organizations, or rooms of others;
- access or attempt to access a room or knowledge base you have not been granted access to, or circumvent invitation and access controls;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service, or resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission;
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications, or to deceive or defraud anyone.
6. Subscriptions, Credits, and Billing
- Parts of the Service require a paid subscription. Plans, prices, and included allowances are described in the Service at the time of purchase.
- Use of AI features may consume usage credits. Credits included with a subscription reset with each billing period and do not roll over unless stated otherwise; purchased top-up credits are consumed after included credits.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
- You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees and consumed credits are non-refundable.
- We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by The Beagle and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the limited right to use it.
- If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services (for example, AI model providers, payment processing, file storage, email delivery, and optional integrations you connect, such as email or calendar tools). Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party's own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your Content.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) survive.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE BEAGLE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Indemnification
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, that organization will defend and indemnify The Beagle against claims arising from the organization's Content or its breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and the parties consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
